Omg... I only have 1 entry for last month. Anyways... I have to post on here and not FB because ppl know ppl and I really have post how I feel. So throughout my few semesters coming back to school and talking and seeing various ppl in the nutrition program about what they believe it, or watching what they eating.... I've coming to a conclusion, one day when you need nutritional advice and go to a dietitian or a nutritionist... watch out! Only a few know what the hell they are doing.
Ok, yesterday a group member of mine said "Sugar does not have calories."
Thank god I am not one of those people that say how they feel without any filter. But in my mind I was like: Are are kidding me? Seriously? This girl is going to graduate from the nutrition program next month. For reals? If you ever get advice on nutrition, BEWARE... all nutrition "experts" are not built equally.
This one group member throughout this semester enlightened me by the following comments:
"Egg white has no protein" and "Milk doesn't have water"
I am completely baffled... no words can describe how I feel.

Crazy semester
Ok... I've been so missing in action these days because of this one nutrition class I have that is taking up so much time. I can't wait til the semester ends so I can chill out and revert back to my normal routine! I have not worked out in forever and my bf is starting to feel the effects of my schedule :(..... School sucks this semester. I like challenges but this is ridiculous.
Oh the other note... I can't wait for Halloween. I love love love Halloween! and November, my favorite month is rolling around soon. More holidays and days off! Sweet ;)
Currently in my class we're making Veggie Patties... I will post them up cuz the recipe is super yummy! Also I should focus on one hobby on my blogs. I have way too much random interests. oki doki... til next time...

Heart spotted chihuahua

A long-coated male chihuahua named "Love-kun" (bottom) with a heart-shaped pattern on his coat sleeps beside its old brother "Heart-kun" which also has same marks at Pucchin Dog's shop in Odate, northern Japan August 6, 2009. The three-day-old chihuahua was born on August 3, 2009 as a young brother of "Heart-kun" which also has same marks.

Maui Vacation
This past weekend Steve took me to Maui to celebrate our 6th year anniversary!! That is a long time huh... I wasn't expecting Maui too be that fun since its just Maui lol... but turned out we did a lot of stuff so it was a great vacay. Maui is a younger and I think larger island than Oahu, so its mountains are a lot more rockier and the land is a lot less underdeveloped-- which is actually good!! Less traffic, two lane highways that go much faster, beautiful open scenery, really cool clouds, and some country parts of the island where it was literally me and Steve on a dirt road for miles. It was lovely.
Here's are just a handful of pix I took of our Hana drive, Haleakala, and O'heo Gulch.

Tips: For those people going to Maui, the Hana drive, Haleakala, and O'heo Gulch (aka Seven Sacrad Pools) are definite things you must do/see. The Hana drive will take the whole day, especially if you make stops, and take a compact car- the 2 lanes of opposing traffic, will turn to one shared road in certain MANY areas. Also, bug spray if swimming at the O'heo Gulch. Haleakala is cold up there, but in the summer the weather is nice and cool.

Dairy and Pizza!
So last week or so, I ate at Z Pizza and it was delicious!! Despite the fact that all pizzas have cheese and is supposedly on my "eat less of" list, Z Pizza offers wheat crust, organic ingredients and msg-free pepperoni. (At least this is somewhat better then Pizza Huts oil drenched crust that they add right before baking) I just noticed that they have a "soy cheese" pizza yet it says it has casein in it, which then defeats the whole purpose of using an alternate cheese source since people avoid dairy for lactose but also for casein (being that its carcinogenic and allergenic)
So we got the X-Large 1/2 Tuscan and 1/2 ZBQ. Before our pizza arrive, the friendly manager (I think) gave us free samples of the Casablanca. OMG.... both the Tuscan and Casablanca are da-bomb!! Later on, I noticed the base for both of them was roasted garlic sauce... Mmmm... heaven. So I would definitely recommend those two, they are actually very much a like. The only thing I'd adjust is thickening up the crust. It was way thinner then Papa John's thin crust so ended up very flipsy. Other then that, it would've be perfect.
Oh side note... so I was watching the show Top Master Chef where they have a handful of chefs take on a quick fire challenge and then an elimination challenge. So one of the challenges they were going to cook for actress/musician Zooey Deschanel. She came on and said-- by the way I should let you know... I'm vegetarian. Then on top of that shes like and I don't eat dairy, soy, or gluten. LOL Some of the chefs that were known of homestyle mama's cooking was like- thats like extreme vegan plus allergies. What an undertaking. I think the last macrobiotic restaurant I went to I ate gluten. So anyways, the winner of the challenge made this quinoa pasta dish that I'm so interested in trying.

Killed by Cuteness
Ohhh crap, this past week I stepped into Lesportsac and was killed by all this cuteness! The second print I did not see in stores, but its online and its so cute!!
I was reading how many prints (including Tokidoki ones) are exclusive in Hawaii and some people want to get them but can't. I am not a professional ebay seller (I tried once but no one bought my stuff!) but I don't mind selling if there are people in desperate need for a cute bag that they can't find in their hometown. Anyways, on with the cuteness!! Ahhh!!
First up....
Lesportsac "Onolicious"- Hawaii and Guam Exclusive (Spring 2009)
Dress Up print
Sweethearts print
Fifi in the Sky print
So which one to get?? LOL... Bad thing about Lesportsac is that its a bit trendy. Its like the bag has to match what you are wearing of else it looks off. I do like the Fifi Lapin's pastel colors which I think can match a lot of things, however the Onolicious print is just so unique to Hawaii and its super cute! sigh* more stuff that I want.
